This weekend we did our first Wedding Expo. It was something new and exciting and it took a lot of hard work before and during the expo to get everything ready and beautiful.
First I had to decide what I wanted to do with my stand...this was a big decision for me. I had load of ideas, but they all would have cost me load of money so at first I was really disappointed.
One morning I was looking for something in my dad's garage and I found some wood in a shelf. They must have been there more than 10 years and no one will even notice when they are gone. I then decided I will be making my own table for the expo...it won't cost me much and it is something new to learn. With the help of Gerrit's patience and his power tools I started to create my first "artwork".
I thought this was going to be quick and easy job and at the end worked about 3 days on my 2 tables. I first had to sand the wood and make them look new, then I had to paint each peach with a sealer and the last thing was to try and figure out how to put them all together in a way so that I could still carry it on my own.
Thanks to Gerrit, he had the brains to help me figure out all these things as well as measuring everything to fit exactly.
After 3 days or hard work and leaving the admin and emails my tables were finished and I was so happy. Here is my final "artwork" YAY!!!
So to the EXPO we go...it was an amazing feeling to know what it was hand made by myself. We had an amazing Expo in Potchefstroom at the Snowflake Venue. it was busy and I met loads of potential clients.
Here are some images from the Expo with my hand made table, beautiful flowers and some of my work in album and print format :D
